It is true that ladies should learn how to defend themselves. In current era, women face more challenges in their everyday lives. From travel overseas and work late nights to frequent outings.
There are a lot of choices of martial arts out there. Although almost all of the martial arts are open to female students, we need to find an approach that suit ourselves best. Not everyone suit with Karate or Judo.
I'm a fan of martial arts myself. Common legend says Wing Chun was created for ladies to defend themselves. Or, if you had seen one of Steven Seagal's movies, Aikido seems not bad either.
Today I stumbled on one very interesting post on our website - I.M.P.A.C.T! Ladies Exclusive Self Defense Program. (URL: http://bit.ly/daqqsl)
As the summary written: "Learn the WHY and HOW of protecting yourself in our 1 full-day I.M.P.A.C.T Ladies Exclusive Self Defense Program on the 2th October from 9am to 6pm. More than JUST a self-defense class, we fuse theory and your own natural reaction bringing self-defense to another level."
So is it a martial arts or just a self-defense method? I think I'll go and check the website. (URL: http://www.idact.sg/)
